The Wisdom Channel Publishing Tool

Everything on this site is made by a small operation — one person and a build pipeline. The videos are scripted, narrated, and rendered in that pipeline, and the same pipeline publishes them. This page describes that publishing tool, because it connects to social platforms on our behalf and we would rather explain it plainly than leave anyone guessing.

What it does

When an episode or a short video is finished, the tool uploads it to the Wisdom Channel accounts on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, along with the title, description, and hashtags written for each platform. It publishes one piece of content per day, on a schedule.

It only ever posts our own videos to our own accounts. It does not read, collect, or post anything belonging to anyone else, and it has no users other than the person who runs this channel.

TikTok permissions it uses

The tool uses TikTok's Content Posting API. These are the scopes it requests and the reason for each:

• video.publishPosts a finished Wisdom Channel video to our own TikTok account. This is the tool's core function — without it there is nothing to automate.
• video.uploadTransfers the video file to TikTok ahead of posting. Required by the Content Posting API as the step before publishing.
• user.info.basicConfirms which account the tool is connected to, so a video cannot be posted to the wrong profile by mistake.

What it does not do

• It does not post on behalf of any other person or account.
• It does not read other users' videos, profiles, or activity.
• It does not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties.
• It does not run ads or use TikTok data for advertising.
